:new: ˇ WELCOME ! :new:

Art&Stuff is a new club looking for members. We apreciate any advertising we can get so even if you don't want to join, you can feature us in your journal and we will do the same for you.
Any clubs that wish to be affiliated with *ArtAndStuff should just send us a note, we are happy to be affiliated with almost any club, provided you mention us in your club journal and we will of course return the favour.

:bulletpurple: ˇ COMPETITIONS ! :bulletpurple:

The competition theme for this month is:

"COLOUR" - interpret that how you will
closing date: 1st June

Competition winners will have their work desplayed on the site and their work will also be put into a hall of fame yet to be created.

The gallery will not only feature competition winning pieces but also any entries submitted for any of the competitions, running or previous.

:sherlock: ˇ RULES ! :sherlock:

All entrys to any competition MUST comply 100% to DA's rules!!! If you use stock please credit the person from whom you got it, and do not use anything that you do not have permision to use!!!

Entries to all competitions can be of any medium. The idea here is not to restrict you to only photogrphy, traditional art, poetry etc, but to let you take the theme of the task and portray it however you like!!!

You should put the entry into your gallery but in the description please mention that it was for one of our competitions and that we have permission to publish it on our site (with credit to you ofcourse) so that we may get abit more well known.

To enter please send us a note with a link to the entry, the name of the competition it is for and it's title.

EG. LINK

work will not be submitted to our gallery untill that competition has been judged. This is because we want the entries to remain anonymus when they are being judged.

:gallery: GALLERY SUBMISSIONS :gallery:

As of today, the club will be accepting gallery submissions!!! Once a Week, A week starts on Sunday, and runs through to Saturday. If you don't submit one week, you are NOT allowed to submit 2 the next. To Submit your piece to the gallery please send a Note with a link to the piece you wish to enter, and the comment that you want to be written beneath it.

Today is Monday the 1st, submissions for this week must be in by Saturday the 6th.

Thats all for now, - *ArtAndStuff :bye:

I have made a stamp for the club which cannot be shown in this journal, if however you would like to put it in your journal, copy and paste this code:

<*a href="http://w*ww.artandstuff.deviantart.com"><im*g src="ht*tp://tinypic.com/jh67mv.gif" />

This code will show the stamp in your journal but also make it a link to our page! Take out all 4 atericks (*) or it won't work, if you want to see the stamp first it can bee seen in the journal on [link]

THIS IS A SUBSCRIBER ONLY FEATURE

if any of you would would like to make a better stamp (cuz let's face it... this one is abit crappy) then please note me a link to your design and I'll take a looksee, if i decide to use your stamp, then you will get a constant journal feature HERE!

Rules for any competition are that you cannot vote for your own submission. I'm sorry if that was not clear, but here, and in any other instance, artists may NOT vote for their own work. Thank you.
:icondnmn89:
well then nobody will win the avatar contest, cuz nobody else will vote

like i said if nobody votes, then i shall choose. Voting for your own defeats the point of voting atall.
:icondnmn89:
Those are dumb rules, in everyother club you can vote for your own work. I'm starting to think the reason this club isnt doing so well, is the lack of promotion and inexperience of our administrator

what is the point of voting for your own work? the idea of getting votes is because people like your work, that way people with good work will win.

If you have any ideas to promote the club with that is not banned on DA, then please enlighten me. I think it is doing quite well.

And as for being inexperianced, it doesnt take experiance to have common sense, and in my opinion voting for your own work is silly.

You are a valued member of the club, I apreciate your artwork and I do not wish to start an argument here so on that note please don't let one rule annoy you and please let me know of any ideas you have for the promotion of the club.

Thank you x
:icondnmn89:
Its simple go out to the forum and promote the club thats all you gotta do. And as for not being able to vote for your own stuff, do you think when they elect presidents, and the canidates go to vote they vote for the people running against them. No, because that might end up to hurt themselves in the long run. If nobody ever votes because they cant vote for their own stuff it will ultimately come into your hands to make the choice, if this is inevitable what is the point of voting.
